Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is now live, and there are a good few updates before it draws to a close, bringing plenty of new Star Wars-themed content to dive into the map and explore.

Whether it’s to usher in a new season or update the game throughout the Chapter, Fortnite is no stranger to adding new map locations, powerful weapons, Battle Passes, skins, and so much more.

Next Fortnite update

The next Fortnite update, which is called “Chew on This”, is set to drop on May 15, 2025. One major addition to this update is Chewbacca, who will be joining the Battle Royale island as an NPC.

Aside from that, two weapons will be added to the loot pool: The Wookie Bowcaster and CA-87 Jawa Scatter Blaster. The latter is a completely new weapon making its debut this season, and it’s confirmed to spawn in chests.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 update schedule

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is structured into six updates, each featuring the arrival of new content and events, including the next live event. If things operate as they usually do, the event will then end with another update for the launch of the next season.

When does Chapter 6 Season 3 end? Season 4 start date

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 will end on June 7, 2025, which is much shorter than the typical three-month-long runtime of many seasons’ start and end dates.

After the usual server downtime for maintenance, Season 4, as we’ll refer to it for now, will launch immediately afterward. Epic Games typically keeps details about the next season under wraps until the final two weeks, when leaks, official teasers, and the in-game countdown timer live event begin building anticipation for its arrival.

Epic does release minor hotfixes between their patches to add game files to the API. We’ll keep you updated right here in case the update dates change, and when any future patches are revealed.
