Monster Hunter fans have a lot to look forward to with Wilds expansion roadmap. Even more monsters are set to arrive in the future, alongside new cosmetics, and quests.
There are already plenty of monsters to fight, and great weapons and armor to collect in Capcom’s latest Monster Hunter instalment. Even though the game will keep you busy for hours on end, the devs are ready to roll out DLC content to keep you hunting all through 2025.
Below, we’ve got a breakdown of what you can expect from each upcoming expansion.

Free update 1: April 4, 2025
The Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase on March 25, 2025, gave us a sneak peek into some amazing updates coming to the game with Title Update 1. This update, arriving on April 4, 2025, introduces a variety of new content, exciting events, and some cool future plans for the game.
Grand Hub: The endgame social area
At Hunter Rank 16, players can unlock the Grand Hub, a new social area designed for post-hunt relaxation and fun. This area offers lots of activities to enjoy with friends, including feasting with friends, arm wrestling, performances from Diva, and barrel bowling.
Mizutsune: The bubbly leviathan
A fan-favorite monster, Mizutsune, is making its debut in Monster Hunter Wilds.
This elegant, bubble-blowing leviathan will be available to hunt in the Scarlet Forest starting at Hunter Rank 21.
Arch-tempered Rey Dau

If you want an even tougher challenge, Arch-tempered Rey Dau will be available in a special Event Quest for hunters at HR 50 and above.
This powerful variant of Rey Dau will test your limits, but it rewards the effort with Rey Dau Gamma armor – perfect for you if you want to show off your strength.

Defeating Zoh Shia will unlock new high-rank equipment for crafting, providing more options for your arsenal.
Arena quests for speedrunners

Arena Quests lets speedrunners compete for the fastest completion times in both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests. It’s the perfect way to test your skills and earn bragging rights.
Festival of Accord: Blossomdance
The first major seasonal event, Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, will run from April 22 to May 6, 2025.
During this time, you can participate in special activities and earn limited-time equipment, gestures, and decorations. It’s the perfect time to pick up unique rewards to show off to your fellow hunters.
Free update 2: Summer 2025

- New monster: Lagiacrus
- More Event quests
- More cosmetics
Title Update 2 is scheduled for Summer 2025, and we already have a teaser: Lagiacrus, the fearsome thunder dragon, will be joining the hunt as a new monster to battle.
There will also be more event quests, rewards, and minor changes. You know the drill. And if you didn’t get enough fashion last update, there’s also another round of cosmetics to keep you looking sharp while dodging death.
Capcom has a history of steady post-launch support, so expect regular updates, more beasts, and even more event quests as the year rolls on. If past entries are anything to go by, you can probably look forward to crossover events, tougher hunts, and more opportunities to deck out your hunter in increasingly ridiculous gear.
