Warzone Season 4 is the next major update coming to the CoD battle royale, bringing with it a ton of new content to enjoy.

Even by Call of Duty‘s standards, Season 3 has been absolutely huge. Not only did it bring back the original Warzone map, Verdansk, but the mid-season update marked the return of Ranked Play and the Ladra SMG, which is a remade version of BO1’s Spectre.

Raven will be looking to keep up the momentum with Season 4, so here’s a breakdown of everything we know about it, including when it starts.

Warzone Season 4 start date

Season 4 is due to arrive on Thursday, May 29, 2025, as shown by the Battle Pass timer displayed in-game. Based on previous updates, it will likely go live at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST, with the option to download it earlier so you can jump right in.

As always, it will last around eight weeks with a Reloaded update halfway through, giving players plenty of time to see and do everything before Season 5.

What to expect

It hasn’t been revealed exactly what will be added in Season 4, but there are certain elements that feature every season without fail. So, here’s everything we expect to see:

• Battle Pass
• New weapons
• New Operator skins
• In-game events
• Verdansk map changes
• Weapon buffs and nerfs

Each new season brings a Battle Pass full of skins and cosmetics to unlock, and Season 4 will be no exception. There will also be a handful of new weapons added that can be unlocked by leveling it up, although we’re still waiting to find out what they are.

Fans will have their eye on any changes to the Verdansk map, as the devs have promised that it will evolve over time. Season 3 Reloaded saw the Train Station interior return, so it’s possible that this time the Stadium roof will finally open once again, however, this also hasn’t been confirmed.
